WHERE CHILDREN LOVE TO BE

Multi-age Curiosity

In Team Multi-age for Curiosity, we have been learning about Government levels such as Federal, State and Local.

We have been researching in groups about the three levels of Government and recording what we have found out in our Curiosity books.

Some facts that we have found out about Federal Government are that they are responsible for;

1 – Defence

2 – Trade

3 – Commerce and Currency

4 – Postal Service

The State Government are responsible for;

1 – Schools/Education

2 – Hospitals

3 – Environment

4 – Roads, Railways and Public Transport

The Local Government are responsible for;

1 – Building Regulations and Development

2 – Public Health

3 – Local Roads, Footpaths and Playgrounds

4 – Libraries

5 – Local environment issues, Waste and Water Consumption / Disposal

We will be communicating our opinion about an important issue to the appropriate level of government.

Cross country practice

In Team Multi-Age we have been doing regular Cross Country practice we have been working hard on our skills, and we also have been showing persistence during our running. Year 3s and 4s do up to 5 laps and the year 5s and 6s do up to 8 laps around the Kick Off area. We do this running because we have to see who is good at running to make the team for cross country.

 Next Friday we will have the cross country, that means that 8,9 and 10 year olds will run for 2 kilometres, and 11,12 and 13 year olds will run for 3 kilometres. We will be running around Falkner Park, a beautiful area to run. Hopefully some of us will come first and win a ribbon.
