Australian Children’s Orchestra & Chorus
~ Violin Scholarship Program ~
Dear Parents,
Students will have the opportunity to be selected into this special music program. Lessons in violin will be provided for free by Jack Harris, Music Teacher at Le Page PS.
The value of this scholarship is $2,500 per child for 1 year. After 1 year, students can continue in the program for free but, will need to own their own violin.
Places available:
- 10 for students in Year 1/2 5 for students in Year 3/4 5 for students in Year 5/6.
A violin will be made available on loan. Parents will be responsible for any damage, loss, string replacement, etc. (please identify the instrument on your home insurance contents policy – value $300).
Lessons will be held 4 times weekly in the school hall: commencing Monday 24 May 2021.
Lesson Timetable:
Mondays: 1.10 – 1.40 pm
Wednesdays: 4.00 – 4.45 pm (students join this group upon completion of Bk 1)
Fridays: 1.10 – 1.40 pm
Saturdays 1.30 – 2.15 pm
All lessons are held in the hall at Le Page PS.
Requirements:
➢ A good quality display book is required for music sheets.
➢ Parental attendance at concerts.
If you would like your child to participate, please contact Jack via the email address, below to confirm your interest indicating that your child is a student at Le Page and in Year 1/2. Only those students who can commit to the full program will be accepted.
