Foundation Students

Celebrating our  fabulous Foundies!

FA - Miss Zoe

Writing:

Here is Lewis and Charlie working hard at their writing. We have been having lots of fun with our writing and students are learning to form sentences with a focus on sounding out, capital letters, full stops and spaces. We have seen so much growth and achievement already. Students have been getting creative with their writing pieces that include describing the ultimate ice cream to writing about what they will be when they grow up!

Big Buddies:

We used couldn’t miss the opportunity to get outside on this beautiful sunny day last week. We did some drawings with our big buddies. The 5/6’s taught their little buddies how to draw something and even how to make some very cool paper planes. It was a lovely and relaxing afternoon in the native garden. Make sure you check out the beautiful mural that is coming along down there too.

FB - Miss Ady

We are so thrilled by the progress of the writing in Foundation! Here is an example of Eloise S' work this week.

Continuing our work with teen numbers we have been exploring the number 17. Here is Spike W who is feeling super proud of how he made the number with unifix to show how we represent teen numbers with tens frames.

Monday Diary Writing

It has been so lovely to see Foundation C’s writing progress so well. They have been working so hard and should be really proud of themselves.

This piece has been completed by Lucas G

Foundation C have also continued leaning the letter sounds of the alphabet. Last week they learnt the letter y and reinforced and practised this knowledge by making a letter Y - yak!

They are so clever at cutting now!
