Art News

Our talented students have begun this term exploring a range of Art mediums and styles, with the consistent element of enjoyment and personal best guiding their learning.

The Prep students have been developing their fine motor skills, through cutting and threading; perhaps you have noticed the beautiful and colourful necklaces that they have made?! Threading requires concentration and careful guidance; two significant achievements by our youngest students!

Our Grades 1 and 2 students have been busy creating seahorse collages, which, like the Preps, has required them to use their fine motor skills. They have all done such a wonderful job and are rightly, extremely proud of their finished pieces of artwork.

Students in Grades 3 through to 6 have been working really hard on creating self-portraits which celebrate both their individuality and their future dreams. Students have captured their future dreams within the framework of sunglasses lens. This learning task is visual expression of the saying, “My future is so bright, I need to wear sunglasses”. It has once again, been incredible to witness the growth and development of our students sketching skills.

We continue to be immensely proud of our students and the quality artwork that they are producing.

Take care everyone!
