Design and Technology Week

15 - 19 October

Northcote High is engaging in Design and Technology Week next week to promote and celebrate this evolving and exciting learning area.

A range of fun activities will be happening throughout the week including drone racing and makerspaces!

We would like to raise awareness of two key events that we think will interest you.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DESIGN

Design Competition - Monday 15th, Full Day, Students Only

This national design competition is open to all students who want to spend a full day designing a product that will help to solve a personal, local or global problem. Students will create a poster describing their design and an optional 3D Printing CAD model. The best 3 students in the country will receive a 3D printer each and a small laser cutter will go to the school of the winning student.

DESIGN TALKS

Thursday 18th, 5.30pm, Free, Parents and Students Welcome

Local industry experts and practitioners will share their experience of studying and working as a designer. Short presentations followed by a discussion panel, not to be missed!
