While students of Northcote’s Sports trip were blazing their way around China, several of our teachers were hard at work elsewhere in China.
Paul Giddy, Effie Sgardelis, Wang Zhen and Nick Murphy spent much of the first week of the school holidays at Hengshui and Baotou, in Inner Mongolia, China, mentoring Chinese VCE teachers and delivering lessons to students.

In a few weeks time, 22 VCE students at Hengshui No1 High School will sit their Unit 3-4 exams, at exactly the same time as Northcote students (yes – with the time difference that means a 6.30 am start!)
It is an exciting milestone!
