Annual Music Concert

Our largest event for the year will take place on Thursday 29 August at the Woodville Town Hall. A letter has gone home this week outlining information for the ensembles involved. Tickets are selling fast and can be purchased via https://www.trybooking.com/BEGUW. There will be limited tickets available at the door. All parents, friends and students of the community are invited to attend. The evening will be filled with wonderful music, drinks, nibbles and raffle prizes to be won.

We are also reaching out to the community for any raffle and food donations to go towards our raffle and food stalls. If you are willing to donate anything, please get in contact with the music department as soon as possible. We would be extremely grateful for your generosity.

Catholic Schools Music Festival

The 6/7 Choir is visiting St Mary’s College on Monday 26 August to rehearse with 400 other children from around the state. This will be the first time they combine with the other schools and will be an exciting morning full of songs and choreography.

All information has been sent home, and TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH BASS: Ph: 131 246 or on the website: www.bass.net.au

The performance is on Monday 23 September at the Festival Theatre. All members of the Blackfriars community are welcome to come and see this spectacular event.

SA Police Band

The South Australian Police Band entertained the Reception to Year 6 boys and some Year 7s last week in Frassati Hall. Many popular tunes were recognised by the boys, and they learnt interesting facts about the different instruments played.
