Kings Park Makerspace
Kings Park Makerspace Term 4 and summer holidays.
The last hoorah of 2019 for the Kings Park Makerspace was the Year 9 Robotics showcase. With all 22 of the robots from semester 2 on show, drag racers were flying around the room, sumo robots were jostling in the ring and many others were lifting, pushing and turning. Around 20 budding engineers from years 7-9 were keenly watching and controlling the robots, admiring the hard work the year nines have put into their creations.
2020 starts early for the Kings Park Makerspace, with Lego robotics workshops every Friday 9 am - 12 pm from Jan 3rd - 24th. In these workshops, students will design, build and control their own vehicle/robot. With help from robotics teachers, learn about motors, gears, structures and coding with Lego Technic and Lego Mindstorms.
Bookings required - call the Delahey Community Centre on 9249 2900.
