The McKinnon Secondary College library has a broad range of quality print and digital resources to support student learning. These resources can be accessed in the library during normal opening hours and digital resources can be accessed, for free, 24/7 via the library link on the school website. (school logon is required)
Featured in this week’s newsletter are the digital World Book and Britannica encyclopedias to which the library subscribes.
Both of these encyclopedias have authoritative articles at a range of levels suitable for Year 7 students through to VCE and an excellent range of images and multimedia resources. At the bottom of each article is the correct citation for the article making it easy to be listed in a bibliography. Many articles also have accompanying ebook and website links which direct users to additional quality resources.
These encyclopedias make an excellent starting point for student researching for school assignments and the library staff encourages you to explore these with your children.
