Principal's Message

This weekend is a big challenge for our Tournament of Minds (TOM) team as they compete in the State Finals at La Trobe University. We wish them all the best.

Thank you to the parents who participated in giving their feedback to members of the Student Voice team over the past couple of weeks. We had students approaching parents in the yard, asking some key questions; “What are the three best things about our school?”  “What is an opportunity for improvement for our school?” When the responses are collated I will provide a summary of the ideas.

Another part of the review process, is the opportunity for you, as parents of our community, to chat with our Reviewer, Graham Bastian. He is looking forward to getting the chance to speak with any parents who are available this Thursday October, 05 at 9:00am.  Please come and chat with Graham in the staff lounge.

We have received an update about the next stage of the work on Plenty Road.

Early works are progressing well and the project team for the Plenty Road Upgrade report that they are on track to start major construction from mid-September, weather permitting.

This includes investigating underground services and soil conditions. They’ll also install barriers, temporary signage and set up the site compound.

Upcoming night works

Over the coming weeks you’ll notice us setting up barriers in the median strip on Plenty Road between Bush Boulevard and Waterview Drive.

They’ll do this from Sunday - Thursday from 7pm to 5.30am to minimise traffic disruption. If you live close to the works, they’ll contact you prior to work starting.

To complete the work safely, they’ll make temporary changes to speed limits and have lane closures in place.

Please allow extra travel time and plan ahead. Detours will be in place for pedestrians and cyclists. Traffic controllers will be able to assist if required.

For the latest disruptions visit Victoria’s Big Build.
