School Sport Victoria – State Team Trials

These trials are strictly for Grade 6 students currently competing at an ELITE LEVEL in their sport e.g. playing in a representative team, has won several best and fairest awards, etc.

 

**Please Note: - These students must be available on Wednesday 24 and Friday 26 April (Week 1 of Term 2) to trial**

These highly skilled students may be suggested for the nomination process (by parents) for selection in a range of sports including:

 

GIRLS - Basketball, Netball, Soccer, Cricket

 

 

BOYS - Basketball, Football (AFL), Soccer, Cricket

 

If they are successful in the nomination, students who are selected must be available to participate in a series of SSV trials at each level as follows - Beachside Division Trials > Southern Metropolitan Trials > SSV Trials/Camp

 

ALL costs are covered by the parents for successful participants and may include interstate travel and accommodation costs.

 

To nominate your child, Parents (not students) must;

  1. Gather evidence of your child competing at an ELITE level, e.g. letter from representative team coach.
  2. Seek approval from your PE teacher and School Principal.
  3. If approved by the PE Teacher & Principal, parents then complete an online nomination form and submit a $25 non-refundable payment to the SSV.
  4. Download the form and then have it signed by the PE teacher and Principal.
  5. Take the signed form on the day of the trial.

Please note: This is for Grade 6 students who are already performing at an elite level in their sport. Permission will only be given if the correct and substantial evidence of elite level experience has been provided. Teachers/Principals are not eligible to sign these applications if insufficient evidence is provided.

 

Online nominations close Friday 1 March. ​Late entries will not be accepted.
