PARENT/TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Parent/teacher interviews will be taking place in Week 9 for Year 1 students and Week 10 for all other year levels. The interviews will be held in your child's classroom and will run for approximately 10 minutes.

YEAR 6 CHURCH SERVICE

Our Year 6's will be assisting Mr Kym Ritchie in leading the service at the Alice Springs Lutheran Church on Sunday 2nd April at 9:30am. All Living Waters families welcome. 

CASUAL DRESS DAY

On Tuesday 4th April children can wear casual dress to school. Please bring a gold coin donation for Australian Lutheran World Service. 

EASTER BONNET PARADE

On Tuesday 4th April Foundation to Year 3 are invited to participate in an Easter Bonnet Parade. The parade will start at 9:30am. All families are welcome to join us for the parade and Easter rotations, and are invited to bring a blanket to enjoy lunch with your children. Children will need to design and make their hats at home.

STAY, PLAY, LEARN

Stay, Play, Learn is a program that involves parents and children 0 to 5 years old from our community getting together to share some learning experiences and build connections. Stay, Play, Learn will be happening on Tuesday 4th April at 8.30am. Children will have the opportunity to create their own Easter bonnet and then join in the Living Waters Easter bonnet parade at 9:30am. Bring your own morning tea to have after the parade. 

WELCOME NEW STAFF

Hi, I’m Charlie Lowson. I have been working in education in various roles over the past 15+ years in Alice Springs. 

Outside of Education I work as a professional photographer, shooting sports, weddings and everything in between.

I love to spend my spare time with my wife and two kids. I also enjoy going mountain bike riding out on the amazing trails through the hills surrounding Alice and also play basketball.

Hi, my name is Rachael Pyatt, I am the new teacher of 3B. A bit about me: I recently moved to Alice Springs from Hastings in New Zealand. Some of my hobbies include archery, cycling and origami but I’m always keen to try out new things.  In terms of teaching, I have been involved in my home church’s children’s program for a number of years as well as teaching Sunday School. I made the decision that teaching was my passion and graduated teachers’ college just last year. I am so excited to be a teacher and I am looking forward to getting to know everyone at Living Waters Lutheran School over the coming year.

VACATION CARE

The YMCA will not be operating vacation care at Living Waters during the upcoming break. Families have been emailed with more information. There will be a program running at Bradshaw School from Tuesday 11th - Friday 14th April. Please contact livingwaters.oshc@ynt.org.au for more information or to book. 

CANTEEN

Please remember that all canteen orders require a bag. Separate bags are needed for first and second break. You can purchase paper or reusable bags through the School24 app when ordering. Please check the 'bags' section of the menu. Students are also welcome to use a lunch bag purchased from elsewhere or brought form home - make sure to clearly label it though. 

Narelle in the canteen is looking for volunteers to help out, particularly from 8.30-10.30am and 12.00-1.00pm, but any time you can give would be much appreciated. To register your interest please email Narelle at lwls.canteen@ntschools.net.

UNIFORM SHOP

Due to staffing our Uniform Shop will be open for the remainder of the term on Wednesday mornings 8.30am-9.30am. Back to School Vouchers are available for use until the end of Term 1. For those who have uniforms on backorder, we thank you for your patience and we will send them home with your child as soon as they arrive.

FOUNDATION 2023 MID-YEAR INTAKE

Expression of Interest Mid-Year Entry

From 2023, subject to numbers, there will be a mid-year Foundation intake at Living Waters Lutheran School. This will be an additional class.

From 2023, if your child turns 5 years between 1 July and 31 December, they can start school in either:

• Term 3 of 2023
• or Term 1 2024

Students enrolled through a mid-year intake will complete 6 terms of Foundation. The standard enrolment fee of $200 will apply and fees for Terms 3 and 4 are $1037.50 per term. Early bird and sibling discounts apply. Please contact us for a tour or any more information.
