Denise's Message

Dear Families,

This is the last newsletter for Term 1 and I am very proud of everyone who belongs to our St Michael's community for all they have achieved this term. Our staff have worked extremely hard to provide each child with purposeful engaging learning experiences, our children have tried to do their very best and our families have been supportive and welcoming to our new families.

I wish you a very Happy Easter and hope you enjoy a great holiday break sharing fun times with family and friends. I look forward to seeing you all in Term 2.

School returns on Wednesday 26th April.

Holy Week

Holy Week is the most sacred week in the Christian Calendar and next Wednesday 5th April, we will be celebrating this with a Paraliturgy. All the children in our school have been learning about the significance of each of the special days in Holy Week and this will be reflected in this celebration. All families are invited to join us for this event, which will be held in St Michael's Church at 2.45pm.

Before School Drop Off

Our school gates open at 8.30am, this is when a teacher is assigned to be on duty to supervise children. I strongly advise that children do not arrive at school prior to this time unless they are with an accompanying adult. The school does not provide any supervision for children prior to 8.30am and I am concerned about the safety of children standing alone on the street anytime from 8am. If you need to drop your child at school earlier than 8.30am, I ask that you enrol them in the Before School Program.

Once a child has entered the school gates they are not permitted to leave the school grounds unless they are with a teacher or adult family member. Children should not be attending shops or cafes before or after school unless they are accompanied by an adult, I thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Winter Uniform

Term 2 is when we change into our Winter Uniform. We usually have a 2-3 week change-over period. Please ensure your child has the correct Winter Uniform ready to wear for Term 2.
