Board of Governors Update
The Board of Governors would like to share with the School community that Craig Stephens, Mary Beadle and David Edmiston will be continuing their service to the School in their current positions - Presiding Member and Deputy Presiding Members, respectively. We thank them for their continued service to the School.

School Shop Temporary Closure with Click and Collect
Due to staff shortages, the School Shop will be closed for in-person sales from Monday 13 March to Tuesday 25 April 2023 (inclusive). However, during this period families will be able to continue to access uniform items through a ‘Click and Collect’ process. Orders can be placed via an online form and, once notified, students will be able to collect purchased items during the school day. The link to the order form and further details of the process will be outlined in next week’s What’s On newsletter (Thursday 9 March 2023). Meanwhile, families are welcome to attend the School Shop for purchases and fittings next week during our normal trading hours, as follows:
Tuesday: 8.00am – 12.00pm
Wednesday: 8.00am – 5.00pm
Thursday: 8.00am – 5.00pm
Parent Social Drinks
6pm, Wednesday 8 March @ Boodle Beasley - limited tickets available
Parents/Guardians are invited to reconnect with fellow parents or introduce themselves to new families at our 2023 Parent Social Drinks, this year being held at Boodle Beasley (North Hobart). Food Platters will be provided, with drinks available to purchase.

Save the Date, E-12 Stories with Friends Event
Thursday 30 March,
After school we are hosting a Stories & Reading event for all students and families, from Early Years to Clemes and everyone in between! You can bring your own book to read, borrow one from us, buy one at our second-hand book fair, listen to read-alouds, and listen to oral stories. Food and beverages will also be available. More information will follow, including start and finish times, but make sure you put the date in your calendar. It promises to be a wonderful community event!
Second-Hand Book Fair: Books Needed
Thursday 30 March
As part of the Stories with Friends event we are hosting a second-hand book fair to raise money for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. To ensure its success, we need lots of good quality, undamaged, sellable books (fiction and up to date non-fiction) and magazines suitable for young children, older children and adults.
We would be grateful if you could check your cupboards and shelves for books and magazines you no longer want.
Donations can be left at the Morris office, or the High School or Clemes libraries.
The Friends’ School Rowing Quiz Night
Come along for a fun Quiz Night and help support The Friends' School Rowing Program. There will be a silent auction and games.

Quaker Meetings for Worship
All members of The Friends’ School community are welcome to attend our Meeting for Worship any Sunday from 10.00am, closing about 11.00am, with morning tea available afterwards.
Children are always welcome and there is a Children’s Meeting held concurrently with the Meeting for Worship. They learn about Quaker values through a range of interesting and fun activities. Around 10.50am the children join the Meeting for Worship, settling into the gathered Meeting for the last 10 minutes, usually sitting with their parents.

Thursday Morning Meeting for Worship
Members of The Friends' School community are welcome to attend a short Meeting for Worship held each Thursday morning during term time, starting at 7.45am. Just come quietly in when you can and join us until 8.20am in the Hobart Quaker Meeting House, which is located just below the Clemes office on Boa Vista Road.
Community Yoga
An inspiring way to start your day with energising movement, focused breathing and a moment for relaxation and stillness. All members of the school community are welcome to attend our Wednesday morning sessions from 7.45 - 8.15am in The Farrall Centre. Mats provided. Please feel free to come at any time.
