Assistant Principal's Report

RIDE TO SCHOOL

On Friday morning at assembly, we promoted next Friday’s Ride2School Day with an amazing race. Miss Sim and Miss Church took on Mark and Mitch in an epic battle, searching for clues as they scooted across the East Community. On this occasion Miss Sim and Miss Church took the chocolates and took home the golden handlebars for 2023.

As mentioned, next Friday is Ride2School Day and boy do we have a great day planned. This year we are proud to be the flagship school for regional Victoria and are planning to go large. We will kick off the day from 8.15am with a healthy breakfast of fruit, pancakes, and yogurt.

Each level will conduct their own parades and ride of the track throughout the day. There will be prizes for best decorated bikes with a $50- Intersport voucher for the best decorated bike in each level.

Every class will also have a $50 voucher from Intersport to give away, with each student that rides on the day going in the draw. For any students that can’t ride to school, walking to school from home or a designated drop off point will also get them into the draw to win. We have some great paths in the East now so dropping off and riding to school is a great option. The safety of our students is paramount so please ensure that all students riding anything with wheels have a well fitted helmet.

We are looking forward to a huge day of celebrations and can’t wait to see you all on your bikes next week.
