Our superstar runners, Archie and Marcus Sideridis competed at the LAVIC State Championships on the 11th and 12th March.

The boys recorded some amazing results over the two days:

Marcus Sideridis - Under 10

800-m  2nd  2:24.68

400-m  6th  67.74

Archie Sideridis - Under 12

800-m  1st  2:09.72

1500-m 1st  4:29.43 

400-m  2nd  59.55

Incredibly, Archie’s 800-m time of 2:09.72 was a record - Victorian Best Performance (VBP) and an Australian Best Performance (ABP), and it was also an International Age Record (World Record) for an 11 year Old Boy! This is an enormous achievement! His 1500-m result was also a record - Victorian Best Performance (VBP) 

In other Athletics news, a few weeks ago at the Athletics Victoria Junior State Championships U14-U18 Archie recorded the following results:

Archie Sideridis – Under 14

1500-m 1st – 4:21.77

800-m  2nd  2:12.33
