Principal's Report

Dear Parent & Carers,

It has been a busy week here at Woori this week. Our students and teachers have been working hard in their classroom with the students achieving lots of reading, writing and blitzmaster goals.

Oliver has been having a fabulous time in Bali. He has had fun at the beach, is very relaxed and reading lots of books and doing plenty of shopping.

NAPLAN

Congratulations to our Grade 3 and 5 students who have successfully completed NAPLAN this week. The students all worked hard and they have done a fabulous job; we couldn’t be more proud of them.

SWIMMING

Our senior school students have finished their swimming program for the year. Our school swimming day at Healesville pool was a huge success with a number of students making it to the next division round at Aquanation.  Our mixed age relay team and two of our grade 5/6 students were successful and will be going through to the regional final.  We wish you all the best!

ADCARE COMMUNITY OPSHOP WARBURTON

This week, I had, two representatives from the Adcare Community Op Shop in Warburton come in and give us a very generous donation. The op shop look after us continuously throughout the school year with donations of books and we are very appreciative of all their support.  If you are in Warburton please make sure to pop and have a look around.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE

Parent teacher conferences have opened this week. This is a great opportunity to meet your child/ren's teacher and find out about how they have settled into school and what their current goals are. To book in a conference please head to Compass and follow the prompts for booking conferences. If you need any help, please feel free to contact your child/ren's teacher.

CLASSROOM LIBRARY COMPETITION

The students and teachers are getting excited for the upcoming classroom library competition. The challenge has been set to have the best classroom library in the school. The prestigious ‘Best Classroom Library’ trophy will be awarded to the grade who the judges deem have the best library which is judged on a specific criteria. Good Luck to all the grade for the upcoming judging.

Finally, Jess Howe has been doing an amazing job on our new Instagram page. If you have Instagram please jump on and follow Woori Yallock Primary School.

Don’t forget next Friday 24th is our School House Sports. Remember to dress in your house colour!

Have a wonderful week!

Love Flick
