Brookhill Swimming Carnival

The annual Brookhill Swimming Carnival was held on Tuesday 21 February at Oak Park Sports and Aquatic Centre, and what an amazing event it was! Students and teachers all gathered together to celebrate a day of fun, competition, and sportsmanship. There was a variety of events, including the 50m swimming strokes as well as some fun activities, such as Water Volleyball, Waterslides and even Bocce. It was evident that everyone was having a great time and enjoying themselves.

The day ended with a well-deserved victory for Millar House, who accumulated a total of 748 points. Coming in at a close second place was Clarke House, with 655 points. Third place was awarded to Cameron House, who scored 468 points, and lastly, Brodie House, who finished with a score of 436 points.

In addition to the success of Millar House and the other competing Houses, we would like to extend our congratulations to the age group champions:

Year 10: Lauren and Brodey

Year 11: Jessica and Denil

Year 12: Sarah and Sam

The highlight of the day was the Year 12 Student vs Staff Water Volleyball game. The atmosphere was electric as both teams took to the pool, ready to give it their all. The game was intense, with both teams displaying impressive teamwork and strategy. In the end, it was the Staff team that took out the event, winning an exciting five-set match.

The water volleyball game was a great way to end the Carnival and to showcase the talent and sportsmanship of both students and staff. We can't wait to see what next year's event will bring!
