Year One/Two News 

We have been busy learning about Addition in Maths. We have been learning about how to tell number stories, friends of ten and some different strategies to solve addition problems! 

This week, we have been using a thinkboard to show all the ways we can solve our addition number sentences! 

A few reminders: 

• Seesaw - if you are not connected to your child's Seesaw please see your child's  teacher. Logins were sent home earlier in the term. 
• Home reading - diaries went home last week for the children to record their reading. Diaries will be checked once a week. 
• Drink bottles - please send your child with a full drink bottle to school. 
• Show and Tell - This week's topic is - Where have you been? Draw a picture and talk about a place you have been to outside of Ballarat. It is important that students are prepared for Show and Tell each week. Show and Tell provides each student with the opportunity to develop their speaking and listening skills, especially developing their confidence to present in front of others.
