This week Blue group had a special visitor, Ashleigh from BADAC came into run a session teaching us about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Ashleigh shared a map of Australia that included all the various mobs that live here. We learnt that the Ballarat region is Wathaurong country. She also introduced us to all 3 of Australia's flags and the meaning behind each design. Ashleigh led us through an art activity where the children created their very own Aboriginal flag. We cannot wait for Ashleigh's next visit to learn more about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
