Tennis champs!

Last Wednesday we had some of our Grade 5 /6 students attend a local All Schools Tennis Tournament.  We were so proud to hear that all children involved were beautifully behaved, supportive of each other and played with great determination on what was a SCORCHING Summer day.   Below are two recaps of the day written by Felix Mc and Ruby H.

We also want to give a HUGE shout out to Emily Pellegrino for attending and organising the teams and all the parents that went along to cheer on our players!

On the 15th of February there was a tennis tournament held at the Ballarat Regional Tennis Centre.  There were 20 teams!  We made many great memories together and we hope we can pass on our great time to next year’ lucky people.  Overall, Cooper and I placed 14th, Rylan and Ryder placed 16th and Vincent and Klay placed 18th.  Although we didn’t win, we still had a good time.  Well done boys!

On Wednesday the 15th there was a tennis tournament held at the Ballarat Tennis Centre.  Six of us girls, Ruby, Georgia, Ellie, Isla, Maylea and Airlie were lucky enough to be able to represent Miners Rest Primary School at the tournament.  We all had so much fun throughout the day with many highlights and memories made.  In the end, Ellie and Isla came 4th, Ruby and Georgia came 7th and Airlie and Maylea placed 10th.  They were all amazing achievements that everyone should be proud of.  Amazing job girls!

WESTERN BULLDOGS

Last Friday we were very lucky to have a visit from Western Bulldogs players Rory Lobb & Lachlan McNeil, who conducted clinics with our Yr 1 & 2 students. A great time was had by all as you can see by the below photos.
