All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.
Welcome back to all our wonderful St Louis' families and a warm welcome to all our new St Louis' families. We were able to celebrate the start of the new school year with a lovely Beginning of the Year Mass where we welcomed all our new prep students, new students to St Louis' and our new staff.
We also commissioned our staff for the invaluable role they are undertaking and Father Andrew blessed the Year 6 students as they embark upon their leadership roles throughout the year. It was a very special celebration and it was great to see so many parents attend.
At mass we were reminded that we are called to bring God’s hope to others, to show them a generous hand and a kind heart, to help them believe in a future where they can find joy and happiness and to build a St Louis’ Community where everyone feels valued and welcomed.
One of the blessings Father Andrew prayed over us is worth noting and aspiring to throughout the year ahead:

Be encouraging, be optimistic, be helpful, be cheerful, be positive, be uplifting of others, be a good listener, be a Gospel person, and be a shining light wherever you go. May you be hope-filled people bringing life and joy through your words and deeds in our school community.
May our Creator God fill our hearts with hope and joy. Amen

Sunday 19th Feb- Prep Picnic Mass at Braeside Park 10.30am
Tuesday 21st Feb- Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Fundraiser for Caritas)
Wednesday 22nd Feb- Ash Wednesday Mass 12.15pm for students in Year 3,4 and 6
Prep-2 will be celebrating an Ash Wednesday Liturgy in their classrooms
