Shine Your Light!

On Wednesday, the 2/3A Bilbies were our first class to lead Worship for 2023. They did a fabulous job! The students read to us from Matthew 5:13-20. In this passage, Jesus tells his disciples that they are the light of the world. This means that they shine God’s light, love, and healing to those around them. Jesus also tells them not to hide God’s light, to not keep what they know of God to themselves where it can’t be seen, but to let that light shine so that others can experience it.

To help us remember this important message, the Bilbies shared a new song with us, ‘This Little Light’ by North Point Kids. The chorus encourages us to shine the light of God’s love for everyone:

‘This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine

And in the darkest night I’ll be the brightest light

No covering it up, no shutting it down

No blowing it out, I’m gonna let it shine all around’

We love seeing our Living Waters students shining God’s love all around the school and throughout the wider community. Keep it up!
