On Monday 13th February, students from years 4-6 went to GESAC for the Inter-house Swimming Carnival. We had a great day! 

Students in grade 4 participated in fun novelty events including a cork scramble, freestyle, kickboard and noodle races. After that, the 50-m events started. Students from years 4-6 competed well in the 50-m events. Students competed in a range of 50-m events including freestyle, backstroke, breastsroke and butterfly. Well done to all students who participated! 

Thanks must go to all of the Valkstone house captains who helped out on the day and did a marvellous job, as well as to the wonderful teachers who put in a lot of work and effort. Well done!

The school swim team for 2023 has been selected from these 50-m trials and are announced in this newsletter and at assembly. This team will compete at the MPSSA swim carnival on Monday 6th March at GESAC. We look forward to seeing them compete and good luck!
