In This Together

The Container Project

We are very excited to now be at the final stages of our Containers Project. Scott Rathman has completed transforming our three school storage containers with modern Indigenous art. They are visually appealing and unique pieces individualised for our school.

Last term Scott worked with a group of students from years 1-7 gathering ideas. Students shared with Scott what they love about being at LNPS, what makes our school special and unique and our school values. They then had the opportunity, with Scott's guidance to create their own designs using their own symbols. Scott has then used this information and the student's designs to create these three pieces.

The Fisher container represents our LNPS community and acknowledges our student's families and coming together at our central point, being LNPS.

The Torrens container represents students gathering and meeting to share conversations, stories, friendship and having fun.

The Mellor container acknowledges the places our families come from, our multiculturalism and unique qualities and how we all  have a special place where we belong at Lockleys North Primary School.

We are now working on getting a plaque for each container to share it's  story. We thank Scott for his hard work and look forward to working with him again in the near future.
