Premier’s Be Active Challenge

During this uncertain time we all need to look after each other and put our physical and mental health first. We are all missing children’s and adult’s sports on the weekends and need to continue to support and encourage our children to stay physical. Active Kids make better learners! Building children’s engagement and enthusiasm for physical activity is vital for their wellbeing and promotes a healthy heart, healthy mind and healthy body.

It is timely to begin The Premier's Be Active Challenge to inspire and encourage us and keep us accountable in staying active with our children while we all learn to isolate. Why not start the Premier's Be Active Challenge in the upcoming holidays!

The Challenge

The challenge is to do at least 60 minutes of physical activity on at least 5 days of the week for at least 4 weeks. After 4 weeks of daily recorded physical activity children will receive a medal in November. Simply record your progress on the booklet provided, sign and return your registration form to the front office later this year. The Challenge finishes on the 25th September 2020, so there is plenty of time.  This will give children time to be active and record their activity whilst at home. Being physically active is as simple as washing the car, taking the dog for a walk and making an obstacle course in the backyard. There is a list of suggested physical activities provided in the booklet. Children received a booklet during this week to get them started. Fisher children can access the PBAC via their classroom, where they can access the booklet online to print and record. Some copies can be found in the front office. More information can be found on the website http://www.pbac.sa.edu.au/.
