COVID Management in Schools

We have had a delay in our regular supply of rapid antigen tests to the school. I anticipate that we will receive a delivery in the next few days. When these arrive, they will be sent home with students to ensure everyone can continue with regular testing.

Our school has been supplied with a stock of masks for adults and children. These are available for students who are household contacts and for those who choose to wear a mask at school. The current advice strongly recommends the wearing of face masks indoors to help reduce the spread of infections in our community.

Household contacts attending school who are over 8 years of age must wear a face mask indoors unless they have a valid exception.

Parents must notify the school if their child is a household contact.

Everyone including students over 8 years of age must wear a face mask when travelling on public transport, which includes on buses when students are attending excursions or offsite activities.

If you or your child tests positive on a RAT, reporting the result is required through the Department of Health system  (Rapid antigen tests | Coronavirus Victoria) as well as notifying the school.

Thank you to all families for continuing to communicate when your family has been affected by COVID.

Hopefully we will see a decline in those numbers soon. We will continue to reinforce safe practices at school to ensure we all do our part to keep our school a healthy learning environment.

If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss further.

Kind regards,

Nurse Cecile
