Honours Evenings

On Tuesday and Thursday evenings this week we have held our Mid Year Honours evenings at Junior and Senior years respectively. It was wonderful to have so many family members and friends in attendance, supporting and celebrating the achievements of these students. The master of ceremonies for the evenings were our school captains, Hailey and Mehak, who did a stellar job of keeping the evening running smoothly and announcing all award recipients. Over 200 of our students received awards, which is a fabulous achievement. As said on the evenings, maintaining this momentum and work ethic puts each student in a strong position to have equally positive results at the end of the year. Well done to all these students. We are super proud of you.

Covid

We are again being impacted by illness, namely covid, and this is a reminder to all families to ensure your child remains at home if they are unwell. As communicated with families early last week, masks are strongly recommended to minimise the risk and transmission of infections. Further rapid antigen tests have been sent home to all families and if you require more, please contact the general office.

Badminton

This week we have had a number of sport teams competing in the inter school sport competitions. Our senior girls badminton team, consisting of Sophie, Mehak, Millie, Steph, Cailea, Mahtab, Elise and Keira have won the Geelong Secondary School Championships and have now progressed to the Western Metro Championships which will occur on Tuesday. Congratulations team! We wish you all the very best of luck with your next round of competition.
