Feast Day of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop

Monday 8th of August is the Feast Day of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop.

This a particularly important celebration for our schools that are named after her and inspired by her in their daily life. Her now familiar words, ‘Never see a need without doing something about it’, are a challenge to all of us to think more consciously about our response to those in need.

St. Joseph’s has a very strong connection with Mary Mackillop and was wonderful to celebrate together with a school mass.  Thanks to Father Shymon for leading our school community in prayer.
