The girls from the Sacred Heart Garden group have been hard at work this term with the launch of their Compost Bin Decorating Competition. They are raising awareness about the importance of food scraps and organic waste being composted and made into soil to feed the garden. Food should never be put in the bin to go to landfill. It should be made into soil again and go back to the Earth. Talk about it at home. Do you use your green FOGO (food organic garden organic) bin at home? What a great discussion you could have. Stop food waste going to landfill and feed the soil instead. Healthy soil, healthy food, healthy people.
Thanks to Bunnings for donating the wonderful prizes. The winning class will have their very own worm farm to love and care for and there are also beautiful indoor plants for the classrooms for second and third prizes. So get decorating in your class and talking about compost!
Judging happens at lunchtime Monday 8th August and class winners announced Tuesday morning. Best wishes.

UNIFORM SHOP WILL BE OPEN ON FRIDAY'S BY AN APPOINTMENT
Please call our office at anytime to schedule an appointment on a Friday during Uniform shop hours. If you are unable to attend on Uniform day, Richelle will still be available to take your orders by phoning on a Friday during our uniform shop hours which are 10am - 12noon. From there you will place your order and payment will be made at that time. All orders will be packed and sent home each Friday with your child.
Alternatively, you can download the order form from our website or your PAM account via ‘knowledge bank’. Complete the form and send it with the correct money with your child or phone for payment on Friday.
If sizing is an issue, you are able to send clothing back (still with tags) and it will be swapped over for you...children are unable to be called up to office
to be sized for clothing without a parent/guardian in attendance.
