Kindy Mathematics

We have been learning about repeating patterns and shapes in mathematics this term so far. One of the tasks we completed was using our knowledge of shapes to create a shape monster that had arms and legs and a face. They had to use different 2D shapes and work out how this would look. There was no instructions and students had to use their creativity to complete the task. The students had a great time developing their hand eye co-ordination with the scissors and cutting the shapes out. They then got to get creative and make a character using these shapes we had been learning about.
