Year 9 Outdoor Education - Rockclimbing

Friday 22 July

On Friday 22 July, the Year 9 Outdoor Ed class went to the Bayside Rock Climbing Centre where they challenged themselves in a range of activities like climbing, belaying, and caving.

Students participated in teamwork activities as they had to work in groups to ensure the climbers were safe. They learnt how to put on harnesses properly and how to use the carabiners.

Some challenges students faced while climbing were fear of heights and using different muscles in their bodies to climb as high as they could. Despite this, everyone tried their best and had lots of fun and overall enjoyed the excursion.
