On Tuesday 25th July some of our year 9 and 10 ‘s represented the school for Wellington Basketball at Traralgon Basketball Stadium. They played a round robin format against other schools in the Wellington region. The intermediate boys were first to play, playing against Catholic College Sale and they were very competitive at the start of the first half unfortunately CCS ran away with the game in the second winning 42 to 25. Their second match saw improvement in their communication and defence against Lavalla Catholic College however still were unable to win. The intermediate girls played their first match against Lavalla who were just too good running away with the win. Maya Cutriss scored two three point shots in the game to ensure the girls were on the scoreboard. In their next game, Catholic College Sale tested their defensive skills and the score line for this game did not reflect their effort. Both teams last games were against Traralgon College with them both winning. The girls game was very tight with only three points the difference in the end with our girls coming away with the win in the dying minutes, winning 25 to 22.

Thanks to Mr Van Dyk for coming to support the boys team and to Dylan Jones and Jaxon Moore for being the scorers.
