MESSAGE TO THE COMMUNITY FROM OUR SCHOOL COUNCIL PRESIDENT

School Council would like to acknowledge Linda’s recent retirement announcement and offer our sincere thanks for her exemplary leadership as Principal of Carnegie PS.

Linda’s impact at Carnegie PS has been a tremendous one and she will be greatly missed by students, staff and families, who have appreciated her warm welcome, kindness, readiness to listen and reflect and her unwavering focus on improvement and student growth.

The inclusive and welcoming school culture, exceptional teaching, shared leadership and celebration of big and small wins, testament to Linda’s commitment, collaboration and a shared vision to provide ‘an engaging, supportive and inclusive learning environment that challenge students to be reflective, independent, life-long learners’.

In recent years, Linda has led significant capital works programs and upgrades that have greatly enhanced the school facilities and effectively led the school through multiple periods of remote and flexible learning – both enormous contributions and not without their challenges!

We wish Linda all the best in this next chapter of her life, with more time for family and to put her feet up.

School Council are working closely with the department to support the appointment process for a new Principal and will look forward to welcoming them as they join our vibrant school community in term 4.
