UK Blood Donation Rule

UK blood donation rule is changing — for good

People who lived in the United Kingdom can now give blood in Australia. Yep, blood donors from the UK are A-OK!

Our friends at Australian Red Cross Lifeblood tell us they’re absolutely thrilled to have opened their doors to blood donors who spent more than 6 months in the UK between 1980 and 1996 and who now call Australia home.

Why wait a moment longer? Book to give life now

If you’re one of those ex-UK residents, becoming a donor in Australia is easy. Simply book a donation for a time and day that suits you at lifeblood.com.au, download the Donate Blood App or call us on 13 14 95

You bring yourself, Lifeblood will supply the tea and bikkies!

Lifeblood is also excited to announce a new, purpose-built donor centre will open at Brunswick later this year. You can book your appointment there from the 30th September, or they’re popping up at the Brunswick town hall August 15-26 if you can’t wait!
