Have you read through our fantastic student work in the College Post yet?

Last semester, students across Junior Secondary studied a number of different novels before writing their own narratives. Inspired by the original work, our students were tasked with filling in the gaps and silences within set novels. In some cases, students were asked to take existing characters or events and transplant them into entirely new circumstances.

Gaps and silences allow students to demonstrate their own understanding of the text, as well draw on their creative skills. We asked students to ‘show’ a scene of the novel that was previously hidden from us, while experimenting with new writing styles.

All students did a fantastic job.
