From the Principal
Welcome Back to Term 3
What a busy week it's been for the start of Term 3 and my first week as Principal at Para Vista Primary School. I have really enjoyed visiting classes and getting to know staff and students. Learning everyone's name is going to take some time but it's been really welcoming hearing students call out "Hi Anita" as they see me around the school.
With 22 years experience as a leader, I have spent the last 3 years at Dernancourt School with 3 years prior to this at Thorndon Park Primary School. I enjoy being part of a small school with community support and involvement so Para Vista seems the perfect place to continue this journey. Families play an important role as co-educators of children and I look forward to working together with you and our staff to provide a consistent, supportive approach in developing learning, engagement and wellbeing for students.
I am hoping to meet families in the yard before and after school so please come and introduce yourselves. Once we can invite visitors back into the buildings and to special events, I look forward to meeting even more of you.
Kind regards,
Anita
Parent survey
You’re invited to complete the 2022 annual parent survey, which is now open.
In the week beginning Monday 1 August you will receive an email or SMS from the Parent Survey Team with a unique link to participate in the survey.
If you do not receive an email or SMS with your unique survey link, contact education.ParentSurvey@sa.gov.au and include our school’s name in your email.
The survey takes less than 10 minutes and will help us understand:
- what we’re doing well
- where we can improve
- what’s important to you.
It has been coordinated centrally so that added administration workload isn't placed on the school.
Your answers will not identify you or your child. Only collated feedback will be provided to our school.
Information collected will inform school improvement planning and activities at the school.
The survey closes 5pm Sunday 28 August.

Enrolments for 2023
As we begin Term 3, we are now accepting registrations of interest for students beginning Reception in 2023. If you have a younger child or know a family member or neighbour who has a child due to start school next year, please contact the office and complete a Registration of Interest form as soon as possible. Offers of enrolment can only be sent to those who have completed a form (as per Department for Education procedures) with Round 1 offers going out at the beginning of August to eligible enrolments.
Registration of Interest forms for Preschool in 2023 are also available for both beginning of the year and mid year intakes in 2023. Round 1 offers will be sent to local families at the beginning of August also and if places are available, preschools can offer enrolments to non-local families in round 2, starting at the beginning of September.
