Year 3 Scienceworks Excursion

Scienceworks Excursion

On Wednesday May 5th, the Year 3 students went to Scienceworks on an excursion to learn about the Sun, Moon and Space. Whilst there, the students had the opportunity to explore all parts of the museum and were exposed to concepts and learnings such as the human body, the evolution of technology, sound vibrations and the role they have on your mood and even had the chance to race Cathy Freeman!

The students had a great time learning about the Sun and Moon during an informative presentation by one of the museum staff members before heading into the planetarium and watching a short movie called ‘Tilt’ about Earth, its rotation, and the impact this has on our weather and seasons.

Overall, the Year 3 students had an amazing time learning many new things and enjoying their first excursion experience on over a year!
