Legoland - Foundation Excursion

Laughs at Legoland!

On Thursday the 20th May the Foundation students visited Legoland!  It was the Foundation students very first excursion and they were excited to say the least. The students, teachers and parent helpers visited Legoland as a part of an oral language experience, where the students were then to write a recount following the excursion.

For some of our students this was the very first time our students were riding inside of a bus, and the first time away from their families. This was a very successful excursion where students were developing their independence. Our Greenvale Primary Foundation students of 2021 displayed our school values of Respect, Resilience, Responsibility, Honest and Learning whilst at the excursion.

Our students were inspired by the experience and enjoyed exploring Legoland and all that it entailed. Some highlights from the experience included students watching a 4D Lego movie and they were able to describe the weather conditions that were happening throughout as the movie had realistic features such as light rain coming from the roof, wind blowing throughout the room and dry ice effects. Other highlights included students experiencing some rides, playing on the playground, building with Lego, and admiring the large Lego structures and models.

As a whole the excursion was a huge success for our Foundation students and inspired them to continue on with their learning.
