From the Deputy Principal

Looking ahead

Recently we have been planning for 2022 and examining our curriculum offerings and experiential learning across the school.  In undertaking this review what has struck me is the immense change in post-school options for our young people. There has been a profound shift in the past few years in the opportunities available to our students and we are constantly reviewing how we best prepare our students for a life of learning and engaging in the world in really meaningful ways.

In a world which offers our students apprenticeships, TAFE, University pathways, work in a part-time or full-time capacity, working from home, remotely or on site, work in traditional trades and innovative online environments and everything in between, it can be hard to know which exact combination of offerings will suit our students.  One thing, however, is abundantly clear. Regardless of what subjects they do, or what camps they go on, or how many musical instruments or sports our children play, what is most important is that they are good people. Good people with good values. So, while we will always be striving to provide excellent offerings for our students, we will also remain resolutely focused on ensuring they develop strong personal values and be given opportunities to enact their values as often as possible.
