Kindergarten’s Visit to the Church

Today Kindergarten students and teachers visited St Joseph’s Church to explore the key objects found in all Catholic churches. The visit helped the students identify and become more familiar with the altar, tabernacle, presider’s chair, baptismal font, cross and paschal candle. The students also practised how to genuflect, bow and sit reverently in the presence of God.  As the students walked around the church they responded with wonderment and awe at all the sacred statues of Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop. “We are blessed to be a part of the St Joseph’s Catholic Parish”.
