Prep History Incursion

From the Prep team

This term Prep students have been learning about History.

On Friday 1st May our Prep students took part in a special day where they rotated around a range of activities exploring the history of toys.

With a big thanks to Supreme Incursions, students discovered how toys have changed over time, focusing on the materials used to make them as well as exploring their movements and cultural significance.

It was such a fun day where students (and teachers!) thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We are so excited to continue our history learning by looking at past significant events in our lives.

Messages from the Preps:

“I liked the skills island because we had to think about the games”
Owen, Prep D.

“I liked when I went to the get up and move about station because it was fun!”
Evie R, Prep D

“We went into the gym and I liked being the captain. My favourite station was skills because I liked that you had to challenge yourself.”
Mia, Prep D

“I learnt that some toys are new and some toys are old. Old toys are from a long time ago and they were made out of wood. Toys now are made from plastic.”
Toby, Prep D
