Parents and Friends Update
From Lucy, NMPS Parents
The recent Parents and Friends (P&F) Information Morning Tea was attended by over 30 people, and there was a real buzz in the air as people shared and exchanged ideas for future P&F events. The P&F committee now plans to convert that enthusiasm into action.
P&F is a group of parent and community volunteers who organise fundraising and social activities that bring our school community together. In the past, this has included activities such as the school fete, parents’ morning coffee, Mother’s Day stall, school picnic, school cookbook, community cooking sessions, raffles, trivia night and 'Stay and Play'.
As NMPS a big school, P&F's will succeed best if we share the work. We are always looking for new members and are currently working to map our activities and events for the remainder of 2021 and into 2022. This is a great opportunity to reset and grow, following the hiatus imposed by the restrictions of 2020.
Meetings are held at least monthly, attendance is not compulsory and minutes are emailed. Members can lead activities or provide support and assistance where possible or convenient.
