Be strong, and let your heart take courage,

all you who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24

Dear Parents

On May 25th we will celebrate the Feast of St Bede’s.  Last year was our 75th anniversary and, unfortunately due to Covid-19, we were unable to celebrate this event. This year on Tuesday May 25th the students will be involved in a range of activities.

The day will commence with a liturgy. The Year 3-6’s will attend Mass and the Prep to Year 2’s will attend a prayer service. They will then take part in a smoking ceremony led by an aboriginal elder, Uncle Ian.

The smoking ceremony will be followed by three different activities: African Drumming, French Dancing and singing and indigenous storytelling.

A sausage sizzle will be provided for the children on the day.

We look forward to this wonderful celebration

Take care

Bernadette Reed
