Principal's Message

Dear Parents, students and the wider community,

We're back! It was wonderful to see everyone back at school today as we slowly revert  to where we were at pre-lockdown. Well done to everyone on their remote learning whether you did a little or a lot. It is such a challenging time for everyone and not what anyone wants! If you have learning packs or devices at home please ensure they are brought into school on Tuesday.

We were very saddened to hear that one of our parents passed away very suddenly last Sunday. Our thoughts and prayers are with Melanie's children Eve, Christian and Angus (Year 6) and her extended family. I know our families, staff and wider community have stepped up at this time of need and Eve expressed to me how grateful the family are for all that is being done and has already been done.

In happier news this week Justine Le Griffon had her baby. Justine and her partner Ben are absolutely thrilled to welcome a sister for Isla who they have called Indi!

Looking ahead to the final two weeks of term there are a number of dates to be aware of. For those students who achieved a high finish at the Seaford Cross Country the District Cross Country is set for Tuesday 22 June.

Wednesday 23 June is Italian Day until school concludes at 1.30pm. The early finish enables Parent Teacher Interviews to commence from 2pm. Parent Teacher interviews will be held on Wednesday from 2pm -7.30pm. They will continue on Thursday 24 June from 3.45pm-6pm. To book your times for the interviews please go to www.schoolinterviews .com.au and enter using the code cpupv

As you may be aware Friday 25 June was set as a school closure day as John Paul College and the 7 Catholic feeder schools had planned for about 18 months to work together with a presenter called Tracey Ezard. Given the circumstances we have postponed this closure day until June 2022. We will have students at school as a result on the final day of the term. We have taken note of student voice from our student leadership ''Our House Spirit" team and will be having a fun finish to the term having a company deliver an obstacle course series of activities for each year level modelled on ''Australian Ninja Warrior".

Please look in the Community section for uniform changes.

Wishing everyone a happy long weekend. See you all on Tuesday.

God Bless

Rod Shaw

Principal
