Dear Parents and Carers,
Over the past two weeks, we have had the chance to celebrate everything that is wonderful about Catholic Schools. Starting with our School Captains Tom and Hallie representing our school at the Armidale Catholic Schools Week Mass and culminating with a beautiful First Eucharist Mass on Saturday, we have had the chance to celebrate the Catholic Learning Community here at Sacred Heart. The amazing musical talents of our students has been on display at both the Narrabri and Gunnedah Eisteddfods and we were able to share these talents with the greater Boggabri community last Wednesday at our concert. It has been lovely to reflect upon what makes us unique as a learning community and to celebrate the successes of everyone in our school. Well done to our students for being wonderful role models for our school community.
It is with great sadness to announce that Mrs Rosie Sims will be leaving Sacred Heart at the end of this term. We all know Mrs Sims' amazing musical talent and she has secured a specialist Music Teacher position at Gunnedah South Public School starting in Term 3. We are going to miss her very much and thank her for her tireless commitment to Sacred Heart. We will have the chance to farewell Mrs Sims at our last assembly of the Term on Friday 25 June at 2.30pm.
We would love your thoughts and opinions on the Sacred Heart school uniform. A survey was sent to parents via Compass last week and responses will be taken through until the end of this week.
Special mention to Harry Stevens who celebrates his 7th birthday on Sunday 13th June. Enjoy your long weekend Harry!
Have a great week!
Nick
