Litter is rubbishing our school
To draw attention to the issue of litter in the school campus, the SRC had a communications campaign through a lunchtime installation.
Littering at our school is a growing issue, especially as climate change and environmental issues are becoming more relevant and discussed in today’s society. It is important that we take a stand and stop our school from being littered with trash.
During week 5, the SRC spent 30 minutes picking up litter from all around the school grounds. We then made posters, and pinned the collected rubbish bags to the canteen quadrangle. This was done in order to give students a visual reminder of the amount of rubbish that is overtaking our school grounds. This hopefully had an impact on people in the school and will encourage students to stop leaving their rubbish everywhere and instead start putting in the various bins we have located all around the school.
