Ricketts Point ecosystem monitoring
The year 11 Environmental Class had an enjoyable afternoon monitoring the Tea House Rock platform at Ricketts Point for one of their assessment tasks. Many weird and wonderful organisms were found including colourful seastars, bright orange flatworms and numerous crabs.
The class were disappointed to not find a blue ringed octopus after hearing reports of previous sightings in the area.
It was a great afternoon and was even described by one student as the “best excursion ever”. Thanks to Ms Peterson for driving us down.
