STEM Update

'Tapping into student curiosity and allowing them to create, test and re-create.'

The year Prep/1/2 students have been so CREATIVE designing their very own mazes for their blue bots to travel through. They thought about dead ends, different materials, and how to trick other students in their class. They then coded their robots to travel through the maze and change different directions.

The year 3/4 students have started learning about energy and different types of forces. This week we looked at the power of force such as push, pull, gravity and friction.

They are starting to design their very own Rube Goldberg Machines which will be amazing. Here are some pictures of the year 3/4 students warming up to see how many ways they can get the ball to travel across the carpet using FORCE.

The year 5/6 have nearly completed their STOP GO Animations.

They have used incredible techniques that they have learnt in STEM and also have brought much creativity to the activity. They aim to teach their audience about something important in Australia whether that is from the past, present or looking into our future.
