Foundation Unit

A night of Maths ADDS up to a night of FUN!!

With great excitement some of our JU1 and JU2 students welcomed their parents, little brothers and sisters and a grandparent or two, into the Foundation rooms to demonstrate their mastery of a variety of Maths Games. These included “Making Ten”, “First to Zero” and “Hey Ho Three in a Row”. With a healthy dose of competition and lots of fun and laughter all parents (under the excellent tutorage of their pint sized teachers) also managed to gain the skills that will help them play these games at home! The Foundation students estimated the amount of magnetic letters in a jar and the closest guess won the maths prize! It was a fantastic evening full of mathematical talk, encouraging words, great gameman-ship and fun and laughter. Thank you to Mr Condon for organizing such a fabulous night of Maths. We decided to give it ten out of ten!
